Max Lee Davis

Max Lee Davis was born March 26, 1927 in Lovell, Oklahoma to Milt and Emma (Litson) Davis. He passed away March 14, 2012 at his home in rural Hennessey, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years.

Max was born and raised in the Lovell area and graduated from Marshall High School in 1945. He played football, basketball and baseball for the Marshall Dragons while attending high school. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. On June 21, 1947 Max married Betty Hladik in Enid, Oklahoma, she preceded him in death in August 1998. Max was a farmer and worked in construction all of his adult life. He enjoyed watching all high school sports, supporting all the teams in this area. He loved just simply spending time with his family.

Survivors include his son Dillon Davis and wife Sue of Marshall; daughter, Darsha Tarrant and husband Lynn of Lovell; brother, George Davis and wife Evelyn of Lovell; six grandchildren, Deirdre Wulf and husband Barry, Jennifer Fisher and husband J.L., Justin Tarrant and wife Tara, Monica Williams and husband Charlee, Brooke Davis, and Julita Nethon; twelve great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty, and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Hennessey Cemetery with Pastor Keith Gordon officiating. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial be made to the First Christian Church in Crescent.
